Playing poker over the Internet is something that Chris Moorman does for a living and he is one of the most successful poker professionals in this environment.
He spends most of the time competing at cash game tables and tournaments at PokerStars, with the latter being his specialty.
Over the course of time he won a lot of money and became the first player to cross the psychological threshold of $10 million.
Recently, he participated in the PokerStars Sunday 500, one of the recently introduced tournaments and one that already has plenty of fans.
The prize pools for this competition are not even remotely close to the ones of the biggest tournaments here, but still represent a lot of money.
The winner was almost certain of winning more than $80,000 and given the fact that plenty of poker players enlisted, the guaranteed prize pool was greatly exceeded.
This time, Chris had to outshine a pack of players comprising of 1000 opponents and slowly but surely he clawed his way to the top.
By the time three handed play began, his position was already pretty solid and he had no intention of reaching an agreement with the other two players.
These were clearly at a disadvantage due to their lack of experience and they played overly cautious, trying to simply weather the storm and gladly settle for the second-place.
Chris Moorman dominated these competitors and emerged victorious, to collect $87,000, an amount that will be added on his $12.7 million winnings. He has a significant advantage over the runner-up and given the fact that online prizes are smaller than the cash outs at live tournaments, it is unlikely for anyone to overtake him anytime soon.
The biggest score yet for Chris was a $235,000 won at Fulltilt Poker four years ago, but he won many tournaments since setting that milestone.
Winning the PokerStars Sunday 500 is an important achievement for the famous poker player, but those who made the final table can also be proud of their performance.
Even the one who was sent to the rail first increased his investment 10 times, while the other seven finalists collected the amounts listed below:
